Overview of the Podcast – The Cause for Life
Our Knight Life regularly returns to reinforce Knightly activity upholding the sacredness of life. This week we begin with prayer from Fr Dan Greving for the Cause of Life
At the Supreme Convention in Toronto Supreme Knight Carl Anderson spoke of many initiatives but a special emphasis was placed on our work for the Cause of Life.
You could hear my shout at the end of that clip. It was exciting to hear Iowa’s efforts called out. The roots of Iowa’s Save the Baby campaign began in part with our neighbor to the south. I was able to review the Missouri Meet Life campaign with one of its key players, John Applebaum, PSD from Missouri outside of a noisy room of convention delegates. John explains how the Knights formed a comprehensive approach centered on our Ultrasound Initiative but encompassing other key needs for pregnancy resource centers.
A PRC with an Ultrasound does little good saving babies if no abortion minded women walk through their doors. Marketing is every bit as important as the Ultrasound in reaching women in crisis who need help.
A message from State Chaplain Fr William Reynolds on Save the Baby and the Cause for Life.
This is Mike Gaspers for the Knight Life. We have been talking with John Applebaum PSD from Missouri on their meet life campaign which helped to inspire Iowa’s Save the Baby campaign. You also heard from State Chaplain Fr Bill Reynolds. I invite you to help the Iowa See the Baby Campaign by visiting www.seethebaby.org and making your tax deductible contribution to the overall effort in reducing abortions by 50% in Iowa by 2020.

Bob Sinclair is chairman of the Iowa Knights Ultrasound committee. He and I talked about how the work of the committee is going beyond ultrasounds to the other needs of Pregnancy Resource Centers in Iowa
Key components of this Knights initiative include not only fundraising and placing ultrasounds, but also building a stronger network of Pregnancy Resource Clinics around the state. Coming up on October 1st is the Iowa Inaugural PRC conference sponsored by Iowa Knights. Maggie DeWitte executive director of Iowans for Life and I talk about what to expect from this day long conference.
Remember to invite people from the PRC you help at to consider attending this helpful conference. Consider attending the Knights Everyday Heroes workshop to learn more on partnering with your PRC to assist in their everyday operating needs.
