This Week on Knight Life
Duty. Honor. Meaningful words that tug at the heart of every Knight striving to be a better man. When you are charged with a duty, you can never put down your sword. As Knights, we stand ever vigilant for the sanctity of the family, every day. It is not a burden, it is a commitment that we make to every man, woman, child and unborn child.
Most of us don’t think much about issues of reproductive health until we have a problem. We don’t think of hospice care until we have a relative who faces a terminal illness our own life draws to a close. This week we meet brother Knights working in the trenches supporting the dignity of Life.

Knight life has been on the air long enough that we can have memories. One that is vivid involves walking through the InnerVisions Women’s Health Care Clinic in West Des Moines as it was built. There was white dust on the walls and plaster on the floors. I was introduced to Dr. Greg McKernan who had agreed to serve as the clinic’s supervising physician. He has maintained that designation and has since moved his Vitae Family Care Clinic to the same office complex just a few doors down.Dr Greg is helping people to follow their faith while starting a family and dealing with medical issues throughout life. Dr Greg McKernan and his wife Michelle care for the whole person at Vitae Family Care Clinic in Des Moines.
In our regular formation segment, Steve Hesprich presents Knights to Christ …This week he speaks about the value of Fraternity.
If you feel the need for fraternal bonds with Christian men doing good works for those in need, we’d like to extend an invitation to you to join us. Be the man you always wanted to be and be that man through the Knights of Columbus. We are looking for men striving to be better men. With the Knights you hold the promise of becoming great men in the service of faith. Learn more about Iowa Knights at www.iowakofc.org Reasons to Join
